Moni from India reunited after 35 years

It’s a story that spans decades, borders, and unimaginable endurance — a tale of loss, hope, and finally, reunion.
Moni, also known as Rozina, was just a child — around 8 years old — when her life took a tragic turn. Thirty-five years ago, she was abducted from her hometown of Asansol, a city in India. What followed was a harrowing journey that led her across the border to Pakistan, where she spent the next three and a half decades living in the shadow of a past she could never forget.
Even as the years passed, Moni never let go of the memories of her family. She remembered the names of her parents and siblings and could recall only the name of her city — Asansol. But everything else remained a blur. For 35 years, she carried the pain of separation, the longing for home, and the hope that someday, somehow, she might find her way back to her loved ones.
Incredibly, that hope turned into reality.
Through the help of kind-hearted people and the power of social sharing, Moni’s story reached the right ears. After 35 long years, she was finally reunited with her family in Asansol. The emotional weight of that moment is hard to put into words — a daughter, sister, and loved one finding her way back after more than three decades.
When it came time to speak with her family, there was another hurdle — her phone was not working properly. But once again, humanity rose to the occasion. A generous soul, moved by her story, gifted her a new mobile phone so she could connect freely with the family she had been separated from for so long.
Alhamdulillah, this story is a powerful reminder that even after the darkest of times, light can break through. It’s a tribute to resilience, faith, and the kindness of strangers who become part of miracles.
Moni’s journey from a missing child to a woman reunited with her roots is nothing short of extraordinary — a story that proves love knows no borders, and hope never truly dies.
