Qad Bano was abducted as a child from India and trafficked to Pakistan by human smugglers. She now lives in Muzzaffargarh, Pakistan.
We began search for her family on 28th of July.

Within ten hours, by the same evening, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Barpeta, Assam, India, called us. A kind person had sent him our video. After reviewing the case, he recognized the family. He contacted us and said that this family belongs to his constituency, and he gave them my phone number. The honorable MLA said: “First, I visited your website to know more about you, and then I contacted you.”
One of Qad Bano’s younger sisters commented under her video on our YouTube channel: “This is my sister.” The news spread like wildfire within the family.
When we spoke to her sister, she said:
“Along with our sister, eight other girls were taken from Assam to Delhi by a broker and sold. He told us they were working at a very good place. Two years later, that broker died. We searched everywhere for our sister but could not find her. We thought she must have died. But today, when we saw your video, we became overjoyed beyond words.”
So far, Qad Bano has not yet spoken to her family, but they are already asking questions and preparing to bring her back.
Today, Qad Bano is the mother of six children in Pakistan—Mashallah, even her sons are married now.
Her sister said it has been almost 40 years since she went missing. Their parents have passed away, but all the siblings are still alive. Their mother tongue is Bengali.
